Friends of Cominos House Incorporated was established to meet the following major objectives:

To conserve one of the oldest surviving houses in Cairns previously owned by pioneering and respected Cairns families and now known as Cominos House situated at the corner of Greenslopes and Little Streets, Cairns.

To establish a permanent museum display area in Cominos House with emphasis on items connected with the the former occupiers and history of the House, being displayed in the permanent museum display area.

To conserve and promote the Arts and Environment Centre situated at Cominos House.
